Volunteering
Want to volunteer with HELP?
We have various opportunities for students, faculty, evaluators, and community members. You can assist on one of our committees or participate in the implementation of our evaluations.
Currently, we have a lovely group of volunteers who we greatly appreciate! They are working in various capacities: advising us on our evaluations, conducting community research, serving on our marketing and outreach committee, assisting with the implementation of our evaluation model, assisting with service design, helping with grant writing, and contributing to our database construction.
We would like to give a special thanks to the members of our Board of Advisors, Mary White, Rita Fierro, Janice Walker, Mingxuan Han, Dawn Neidetcher, and Marjorie Schaafma.
If you are a student or want to intern, we provide regular supervision sessions and do our best to meet your educational and service learning needs. This opportunity can also be used as a resume builder and to increase exposure.
If you are a community member, we not only provide you with a chance to express your needs and desires and contribute to your community but also receive training on research and evaluation if desired. This training and experience can be used on resumes for future employment.
If you are an evaluator, this opportunity provides you with a chance for collaboration, further training (if you are new to the field), and/or the possibility to make a greater contribution to society. It also provides you with more possible connections and exposure, with opportunities for meeting new organizations, community members, and working together on publications.
